Hi, I'm Chris Canon

I have been making photographs of women since college. Back then I was seldom without my Canon AE1, thus got the nickname Chris Canon. I have always enjoyed capturing the beauty in a woman's smile, the emotion in her eyes, the confidence in her pose that she may not even be aware of herself. Fast forward many decades and I still enjoy photographing women in a way that not only highlights her beauty but also her strength. My work has appeared in over 25 magazines, publications and even a billboard in Times Square. But none of that means anything to me. The only thing thats important to me is when I shoot with a woman, particularly someone who hasnt shot before, when i show them the images they feel like a goddess. From the moment they enter my space wether it be an abandon mill or my studio they are treated as one and it shows in the images we create together.
